Introduction to Meditation

Our introduction to meditation is a one-week, on-demand course where you will learn four different types of meditation. Discover the technique that’s perfect for you!

There are four primary types of meditation: mindfulness, mantra, energizing, and meditation to accomplish a goal, such as compassion or gratitude. In this online meditation course you’ll learn both the benefits of each technique AND how to practice each type on your own. In only ONE WEEK you’ll have the skills and inspiration to begin and maintain a meditation practice catered exactly to you.

We'll cover:

  • MINDFULNESS: Increase focus and release stress by training the mind to focus on one thing.

  • MANTRA: Increase creativity and release stress by freeing the mind to become quiet and timeless.

  • ENERGIZING: Bring natural energy into the body while maintaining a sense of feeling centered and calm.

  • COMPASSION: COMPASSION Increase compassion and gratitude, or any other goal, through these guided methods.

How it Works

Our intro to meditation course consists of 6 short videos. Immediately after you sign up, we’ll send you a video once a day with that day’s lesson. Often the lesson will include a guided meditation, which you can follow along and enjoy — soon you’ll know how to do this meditation on your own, without a guide!

The Lessons

  • Intro to Meditation. This is where I will introduce myself and explain and the benefits of meditation (yay!).

  • Mindfulness. How and why people practice mindfulness, a meditation to help focus the mind and release stress (sigh). I’ll also guide you in a simple but profound mindfulness meditation (I do this myself every single day).

  • Mantra. Why people do mantra meditation, a powerful technique for reducing stress and promoting creativity. You’ll also enjoy a guided mantra meditation.

  • Energizing. How an energizing meditation works and why it can really replace that second cup of coffee or green tea.

  • Goal-oriented Meditation. How you can use meditation to help you become (even more) of the person you want to be. Meditators often use this technique to promote compassion, so here I’ll guide you in a compassion meditation, which later you can do on your own whenever you seek more compassion for yourself or others.

  • The Practice of Meditation. How to begin and maintain a daily practice. Here I cover the basics of sitting, such as when, how, how long, and more.
